It's shrunk some. The clerical community has been halved and now consists of two brothers - Padre Jesus and Padre Ramon. Padre Jesus's mother lives here as well, along with one of her grandsons. Vincencio, the manager, lives in Pamplona, but stays over when there are many guests. They have day workers from the village as needed. The mother of Padre Jesus is now in a wheelchair, which benefits us, since they have put in an elevator for her.
The animal population has also decreased. Some of the former pasture is now planted in wheat and hay, and the bull's been moved in with the cows and calves. The asses, chickens and ducks are gone. There remain: one bull, half a dozen cows and a few calves, one horse, one steer, two pigs (garbage disposal), an bunch of rabbits (this population is strong - we were served rabbit twice, no, three times in the course of the week), one peacock, a flock of canaries, one dog, one cat, and one kitten (They drowned the rest of the litter this week).
